Do you feel like you are stuck in a spiritual rut?

Do you feel like you are stuck in a spiritual rut?

Are you looking for a way to reignite your faith and deepen your relationship with God?

If so, then please know that you're not alone, I know exactly how you feel, and I have a solution for you.

Even in the darkest moments and driest seasons of my life, God reminds me of the power of my sound.

"Just praise Me. Just worship Me. Just trust Me. Release your sound. Right here, right now. I am enthroned in your praise."

And every single time that I choose to worship instead of worry, I am met with the goodness of God.

As I've said many times before, I wholeheartedly believe that true worship is an underused weapon of spiritual warfare in the Church today.

We are called to express our reverence, adoration, love, admiration, and devotion of God through passionate words of prayer and song.

Yet so many of us never want to get to that place of deep devotion and then we wonder why we're not seeing the evidence of God in our lives!

A lif...

David's Great Song of Deliverance - Part 1

Worship through song is a powerful way to experience the liberating, chain-breaking power of Almighty God.

If you know me for any time at all, you know this is a constant theme I speak about and live by - WORSHIP CHANGES THINGS!

While it can be easy to sing praises to God after a victory, we know that David often worshiped before, during, and after the battles that he faced.

Because of David's genuine and constant state of worship through prayer and praise, David experienced God's ground-shaking deliverances time and time again.

David wrote many songs of deliverance and in fact said in Psalm 32:7 that God would surround him with songs of deliverance.

But Psalm 18 is something special.

Psalm 18 is one of the most powerful songs of deliverance sung by King David and is the longest Psalm of Book One.

It is also fully captured in 2 Samuel 22.

When God repeats Himself in Scripture, we ought to pay attention!

We broke down just the first half of this psalm in our online Bible study ...

Do You Want to Be Made Well?

Do You Want to be Made Well?

A blog by Janice Colon-Crespo - Soul of Worship Ministry Team Member

John 5
6 When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?”

7 The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.”

8 Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.”

9 And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked.

Do you want to be healed? Do you want to be set free?

Such a simple question with so much meaning. This man was sick for 38 years and what was his response?

“I have no one to help me.”

At first, we can have compassion for a man that longed to be made well but didn't have anyone to carry him to the place where healing could take place.

But here's a little tough love.

There are times in our life when we will need to have faith and pray for ourselves. ...

The Walk of Faith - And Why It Doesn't Have to be So Scary!

bible study psalms worship Dec 13, 2022

Hebrews 11:6 states that without faith it is impossible to please God.

We discussed during our Online Bible Study last night that David's worship through prayer and praise pleased God, because David expressed complete trust and confidence in the LORD, no matter what he was going through.

David had faith to TRUST God to fulfill His Word.

And David had faith to TRUST God's character.

David wrote in Psalm 9 verse 10,

"And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; For You, LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You."

When we break this verse down, we can conclude the following:

1. Because I know God and He knows me, I can have unwavering faith that He will never leave me nor forsake me.

2. Because I walk by faith, with purpose and in pursuit of His presence, I can put my complete trust in YHWH!

I can confidently trust in the totality of God's character - in everything that His Name represents!!

The Great I AM is reliable and totally trustworthy!

And when we dili...

The Revelation of the Mulberry Tree

A blog by Janice Colon-Crespo - Soul of Worship Ministry Team Member

So the Lord said, “If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.

Luke 17:6

When Jesus spoke in Luke 17:6, His use of the mulberry tree is purposeful.

Have you ever seen a Mulberry Tree?

It is known for one specific characteristic: its vigorous root growth.

So, if you garden you know that trying to pull even a weed out can make you break a sweat to get it from the root, so imagine a mulberry tree, with its wide and deep, penetrating roots!

This means that Jesus was telling us that with faith as small as a mustard seed, I can uproot and move a mulberry tree!

Often, we get stuck in our own ways and say “that’s just the way I am, I can’t change” when in fact no, that is not how God created us.

We may have deep-rooted bitterness or resentment that affect us in ways we ca...

Is Passionate Worship Your Standard?

Wow, what a Bible study we had last night!

As we dissected verse by verse of the second half of Psalm 3, we uncovered so many keys to unlocking the power of God.

The first thing we talked about last night in our Zoom discussion is found in Psalm 3:4 which says:

I cried to the Lord with my voice,

And He heard me from His holy hill.

                                                           Selah

This verse gives us a glimpse into the way that David worshiped God through prayer and praise: DAVID CRIED OUT TO THE LORD WITH HIS VOICE!

This was not a silent prayer or passive song.

David was PASSIONATELY VOCAL!

The MSG translation says, "With all my might I shout up to God..."

David let out a MIGHTY SHOUT!

With ALL HIS MIGHT!

And this moment of worship wasn't an exception.

David always worshiped God with EVERYTHING that he had.

WITH ALL HIS MIGHT was David's standard!

Here are a few more examples:

Then David danced before the Lord with all his might...

II Samuel 6:14

🔑Kingdom Keys from the Sweet Psalmist of Israel

Uncategorized Nov 22, 2022

Last night in Week 2 of The Psalms Study, we began to dig deep into the life of David, the "sweet psalmist of Israel." (II Samuel 23:1)

In studying his life, his priorities, his actions, and even his flaws, the power of God over David's life is so clearly evident.

Bottom line, David is described as a man after God's own heart. (Acts 13:22).

What does it mean to be a man after God's own heart?

It's someone who knows the desires of God’s heart and carries out His will.

AND HOW DID DAVID KNOW?

How did David receive THE revelation of God’s heart?

HE INVESTED HIS TIME IN INTIMACY WITH GOD THROUGH RADICAL WORSHIP.

And these days and nights that David spent before the LORD from an early age, prepared David for the assignments, trials, and persecutions that would soon come.

This history of knowing with great confidence WHO GOD IS was helpful when the crowds cheered his name and David gave God all the glory for his successes, and what caused David to run barefoot and in tears to the Mo...

Come, let us worship and bow down!

praise psalms worship Nov 11, 2022

"Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker." Psalms 95:6

In this one verse, there are 3 unique Hebrew words used to describe this invitation to worship the LORD our Maker.

worship = shâchâh = to depress, to bow down, or to fall down flat.
bow down = kâraʝ = to bend the knee; to sink, to prostrate
kneel = bârak = to bless God; to bow down and kneel in humble reverence

This verse alone is a picture of humility before Yahweh.

It is meant to inspire us as worshipers to bring ourselves low before God, not just physically bowing down but humbling ourselves before Him.

Bending down shows reverence, expresses honor, submission, and allegiance to His high authority.

We bow down because there is no greater or more powerful being and He is worthy of our complete surrender.

So come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker!
