The latest from the desk of the Soul of Worship Ministry Team
As many of you know, in February I signed a publishing contract with TBN and Trilogy Christian Publishing to officially publish a second edition of the WORSHIP: Are You Making a Sound? 12 Week Bible Study Journey. To God be All the Glory!Â
I've been working hard over the last several months to add fresh content to the Worship Bible study, but also being careful to not change the message that God gave me several years ago now.Â
I am so excited to finally have a release date in sight and to see where God takes this humble, but powerful Bible study on the spiritual tools of worship and praise.
On Saturday, September 5, 2020 not only will the paperback copy be released but also the Kindle/e-book version will be released! You'll be able to obtain a copy through Amazon, TBN's website, and wherever books are sold.Â
Be sure to get on the email list, follow along on social media,...
As I mentioned last week, over the next few weeks I will be sharing a few Biblical examples of how God brought victory to His people through the power of worship and praise. One of my very favorite stories is found in 2 Chronicles 20, when King Jehoshaphat was faced with a huge army coming against the people of Israel.Â
Example #2:Â King Jehoshaphat's Final Battle
Read it now: 2 Chronicles 20
Quick Summary:Â Probably the most quoted scripture from this sto...
WORSHIP WEDNESDAYS SERIES
This series will be an invitation to take 15-20 minutes out of your day to simply come before the LORD in authentic and simple worship and praise.
You can expect for me to share a song that has been ministering to my soul, along with Bible verses to support the message of the song, and a few encouraging words.
So clear off your schedule for the next 20 minutes, put aside any fears or worries, and step into the Presence of God with me.
If you've been following the Soul of Worship Ministry for any length of time then you will know that I LOVE the concept of worship being one of our spiritual weapons of defense. When we worship and praise God, God fights our battles on our behalf.Â
Worship is a critical strategy of spiritual warfare. Not many of us realize just how powerful our praise and worship can be.
But no more.Â

I've added a ton of updates and info on the Worship Rally webpage, along with a list of Frequently Asked Questions.
Go check it out now and we hope to see you next Saturday!

There are many scriptures that remind us and encourage us to wait on the perfect timing of the LORD. We often want answers to our prayers, as my father would say, "in a microwave-minute."Â
But God is too kind and cares too much about you to give you something that won't be beneficial to you in the long-run or give you something that you are not ready to receive.Â
Let this be your reminder that God is never too early or too late. He always delivers right o...

Welcome to Two-Minute Truths, where in 2 minutes or less, we remind ourselves of a powerful biblical truth so that we can live our days empowered by the Word of God!
In this episode, I want to remind you that your worship is your spiritual warfare against any and every situation that may be coming against you.
I love the epic battle depicted in 2 Chronicles 20, the last battle under King Jehoshaphat's reign. There's so much to learn from this battle, but one of my favorites is that even though they prepared themselves to fight against the great army coming against Jehoshaphat, the people DID NOT have to physically fight in this battle.
The king sent out a group of worshippers in front of the army and they sang, "Praise the LORD, for His mercy endures forever!"
And when they began to sing, the LORD sent ambushes against the enemy and they were defeated!
It is easy to allow our life challenges to completely overwhelm us and paralyze us with fear and anxiety. However, the answer is...

Have you ever felt so tired from your daily challenges, or hurting from a tough season of life that it feels almost impossible to still be joyful and thank God?
I challenge you today to embrace the concept that sometimes our praise is a sacrifice. It is not always going to be easy or even feel good to offer God our praises, but it is crucial in order to receive deliverance from the weight of life's troubles.
Psalm 116:17 says, “I will offer to You the sacrifice of thanksgiving, And will call upon the name of the LORD.”
Sometimes our worship will feel like a sacrifice because our attitudes are not always right and things may not be going the way we like or expected. But when we begin to offer God the sacrifice of thanksgiving, we quickly begin to realize that our thanksgiving gives us a fresh, new perspective on our s...

Have you ever read the story of Moses in Exodus Chapter 17 about how Israel prevailed in the war against the Amalekites? Verse 11 says, “and so it was when Moses held up his hand that Israel prevailed; and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.”
Victory over the Amelikes only occurred when Moses had his hands raised high in worship. Whenever Moses let his hand down, Amalek would prevail.
Let that sink in for a minute.
Similarly, our worship can be the deciding factor on whether or not we obtain the victory over our daily battles. When we choose to honor God and praise Him despite our circumstances, we win. On the contrary, when we choose to doubt, complain, or get angry with God when things are not going our way, it is the equivalent of bringing down our worshipful hands, giving up, and letting the enemy gain g...

Today I am going to share with you one of my favorite truths about worship. Isaiah 58:1 says, “Cry aloud, spare not; Lift up your voice like a trumpet.”
In our daily lives we need to proclaim God’s truths and praise His name with confidence, like a trumpet sound of victory, truly believing that He is able to help us through any battle or season of life.
There are testimonies in the Old Testament of battles that were won when the trumpet sound was used as God called them to be used. We, too, have access to this power!
So today, I encourage you to use your voice like a trumpet sound and confidently remind the enemy of the God that we serve - the Almighty, the All Powerful God and that there is nothing impossible for Him!
