Worship Wednesdays # 1 - Wait on the Lord

Welcome to the first Worship Wednesday Blog Post! 

This series will be an invitation to take 15-20 minutes out of your day to simply come before the LORD in authentic and simple worship and praise. 

You can expect for me to share a song that has been ministering to my soul, along with Bible verses to support the message of the song, and a few encouraging words. 

So clear off your schedule for the next 20 minutes, put aside any fears or worries, and step into the Presence of God with me. 

Worship Wednesdays #1 - Wait on the Lord

There are many scriptures that remind us and encourage us to wait on the perfect timing of the LORD. We often want answers to our prayers, as my father would say, "in a microwave-minute." 

But God is too kind and cares too much about you to give you something that won't be beneficial to you in the long-run or give you something that you are not ready to receive. 

Let this be your reminder that God is never too early or too late. He always delivers right on time. Trust that His plans are perfect.

Remain confident in your hope that God will fulfill every promise over your life. 

If you are feeling weary today, anxious to see a miracle or breakthrough, know that you can pray and proclaim the promises found in Isaiah 40:31 which says, "But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint." 

Make the decision right now to surrender it all to Jesus and just worship Him. James Wilson's song "Wait on the Lord" is the perfect worship song to remind your heart of these truths today.

Allow your praise and worship today to lift you above any troubles you may be experiencing. As you enter into His presence, receive the renewed strength that you need, in the Name of Jesus. 

When we choose to worship instead of worry, we soar above our trials and situations, just like eagles do.

Let your worship today elevate you to a place where worry cannot reach you.
