Redeeming September: How God Turned My Mourning Into Dancing 🌈✨
Worship Wednesday • A testimony of grief to glory
This week is extra special for me…my little miracle baby turns ONE. 🕊️💕
Her name is Elena Joy — “Shining Light, Delight.” She’s our double rainbow baby, born after two back-to-back miscarriages in September.
From Waiting & Loss to Worship
For two Septembers in a row, I carried a grief deeper than words. Month after month of waiting, then two losses that broke my heart. I struggled to understand. Wasn’t this God’s will? Why would He speak a promise and then allow it to feel delayed?
I’ll be honest — one day I couldn’t even sing. The worship songs I normally leaned on felt heavy. Until a song about God’s holiness came on.
That’s when it clicked: my circumstances weren’t good, but my God was still holy. And right there, His presence rushed in. My song shifted. Worship pulled me back into alignment with His character, not my pain.
God Redeemed September
Fast forward — September 2024. The ninth month, the number of birthing. God redeemed what the enemy tried to steal and gave me my daughter. A prophetic sign that His promises never fail.
“You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, to the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent.” — Psalm 30:11–12
What Worship Taught Me in the Waiting
Worship isn’t pretending everything is fine. It’s declaring the truth of who God is — even when nothing makes sense.
- Even in our barrenness, He is holy.
- Even in our loss, He is faithful.
- And when His timing comes, He redeems everything.
This is the power of worship: it pulls us out of despair and positions our hearts to receive breakthrough.
For You Today
If you’re still waiting for a promise to come to pass, let me encourage you:
- Don’t stop contending — keep standing on His Word.
- If your song feels stuck, sing of His holiness.
- Trust Him to redeem your season.
Elena Joy is living proof that God keeps His promises. 🌈✨
